Quick Glance: Russian Attack Causes Destruction of TV Tower in Kharkiv

A television tower in Kharkiv was ripped in two by a Russian missile strike on Monday, described by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a deliberate attempt by Moscow to make the second largest city in Ukraine uninhabitable.

Impressive footage showed the main mast of the tower breaking off and collapsing in the city, which has been under missile and drone attacks for weeks.

Zelenskyy briefed US President Joe Biden about the airstrike that occurred shortly before their conversation.

The Service for State Special Communications reported partial damage to the tower's structure, resulting in a temporary loss of television signal. Efforts are underway to restore it, with residents advised to use cable, online TV, or radio if they lack a digital TV signal.
