- The Easter weekend in Germany starts on Friday, March 29. Maundy Thursday falls on March 28, while Good Friday is a public holiday.
- On Holy Saturday, normal opening hours apply. Easter Sunday and Easter Monday are holidays when shops are closed.
- Schools are closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, as well as doctor's offices and pharmacies. Tourist attractions usually have altered opening hours.
