Private schools in Dubai now have the ability to increase their fees by a maximum of 5.2 percent, based on their performance in the latest annual inspections. Schools demonstrating an improvement in their rating are eligible to implement fee increases.

The rate of increase is determined by the performance of each institution in the annual inspections conducted by the regulatory authority. Approval from the KHDA is mandatory for any fee adjustments.

Schools that enhance their rating from 'Weak' to 'Acceptable' or from 'Acceptable' to 'Good' can raise their fees by two times the ECI of 2.6 percent, equaling 5.2 percent.

The Education Cost Index is calculated using the yearly audited financial reports of private schools in Dubai to outline the operational expenses of a school and is developed in cooperation with the Digital Dubai Authority.
