- Her co-hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg acted as real-time fact-checkers.
- Hostin shared an incident where a makeup artist on the show left the building during the earthquake, claiming that Jesus was coming.
- It was emphasized that earthquakes are not related to climate change, and solar eclipses are accurately predicted. Hostin's claims were corrected and discussed.
US imports of Mexican crude fall to lowest on record, EIA says
reut.rs/4d3uET0
Quick Glance: US Imports of Mexican Crude Hit Record Low
- U.S. weekly imports of Mexican crude oil hit a record low in early April as Mexico's Pemex cut exports to supply more to domestic refineries.
- Imports dropped to 209,000 barrels per day (bpd) in the week ended April 5, compared to an average of about 733,000 bpd in 2023.
- Pemex's export reductions led to an increase in U.S. imports from Saudi Arabia to compensate for the shortage in Mexican crude.
- Prices for heavy crude oil along the U.S. Gulf Coast have risen in recent weeks, partly due to the decline in Mexican exports.

Quick Glance: Fact Check: Biden Repeats Claim of Arrest for Defending Civil Rights. Still No Evidence
- President Joe Biden reiterated his story of allegedly trying to defend the civil rights of Black Americans on 'The Howard Stern Show.' However, there is no evidence to support his claim of ever being arrested at a civil rights protest, as noted by 'The Washington Post' and 'PolitiFact.'
- Biden has told the story of his supposed presence at a specific protest in Delaware at least twice without mentioning an arrest. He stated that the police simply took him home on that day.
- It is impossible to prove definitively whether Biden was present at this or a similar protest over 60 years ago. He has also made other false claims about his personal life in the past.
- Biden falsely claimed to have 'driven an 18-wheeler' and that he never earned $400,000 in a year. During his 2020 presidential campaign, he claimed to have been 'arrested' as a US senator while trying to visit South African anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela in prison, which turned out to be untrue.

Quick Glance: Biden Raises Drilling Costs on Federal Lands, Trump Courts Oil Donors
- The Biden administration has finalized a new rule requiring oil companies to pay at least ten times more for drilling on federal lands to generate more revenue for taxpayers.
- While Trump discusses easing drilling regulations with energy executives, the US is historically pumping a lot of crude oil, complicating regulations for Trump and Biden's climate agenda.
- The rule mandates higher bonds and royalties for fossil fuels on federal lands to better compensate taxpayers and cover the costs of cleaning up abandoned wells.
- In addition to reshaping fossil fuel production on federal lands, the administration has advanced renewable energy development on these tracts and significantly reduced rents and fees for clean energy projects.
